Set on 11 acres of tropical gardens, the Cairns Colonial Club Resort has three saltwater lagoon-style swimming pools, two spa tubs, a tennis court, and a fitness centre. A hair and beauty salon can be found in the open-air lobby area that mimics a Colonial town centre and features terracotta tiled floors and an original watercolour rainforest mural by local artist David Stacey. Children are catered for with a separate swimming pool and a playground. Two laundry rooms are available for guest use. Internet access (surcharge) is high speed (wired and wireless) at an Internet kiosk.
A complimentary shuttle bus operates between the hotel and the city centre between 8 AM and 6 PM.

Business amenities (click here)Conference centre: The Cairns Colonial Club Resort Conference Centre is a stand-alone building that can be accessed from the street or the resort. It also has its own parking area. Four separate rooms can be opened up or closed off to create areas that cater for small groups in classroom style, to up to 650 cocktail style. The four rooms have wide, Colonial-style timbered verandas that can act as break-out, refreshment, or smoking areas. Special function areas and equipment include a sweeping staircase, dance floor and stage, built-in speakers and public address system, and independently controlled lighting with dimmers. The conference-centre garden and lobby also can be used for functions.
The resort’s Somerset Room can cater for up to 40 people classroom style and 100 people theatre and cocktail style. Even the tennis courts can be used for a banquet (buffet style) for up to 140 people.
Business services: Faxing, photocopying, and various secretarial services are available at the conference centre or the resort’s reception. Prices on application.
Internet access: The conference centre has both wireless access points and high-speed wired data ports (surcharges).

Family-friendly amenities (click here)Children’s pool: The children’s swimming pool is located next to one of the lagoon-style main pools. It is 10 metres long and has a depth of 0.75 metres.
Children’s playground: A sandy children’s playground is located next to the poolside café and includes a timber house with steering wheels, rope climbing wall, slide, swing and pole, and two seated rocking animals.
